Our Mission.
Establish a brick‑and‑mortar skilled trades training center that closes critical workforce gaps across the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) by producing job‑ready graduates for shipbuilding, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and defense sustainment.
Our Vision.
Become the benchmark pipeline for high‑consequence, hands‑on trades with nationally portable credentials, DoD‑relevant certifications, and embedded apprenticeship pathways, directly improving the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) capacity, schedule fidelity, with quality workforce development.
The Maritime Workforce Development Command (MWDC) is a Navy-aligned, veteran-owned civilian command uniting DoD, industry, and academia to build a mission-ready maritime workforce for the digital age. MWDC functions as the parent entity guiding strategic workforce modernization across the defense industrial base, maritime shipyards, and affiliated training institutions.
